God’s Faithfulness in Every Season

Good morning, everyone!

Today is Wednesday, 11th September 2024, and on this day, we can reflect on moments that have shaped the world. This day is marked by the memory of the 9/11 attacks in 2001, a day that reminds us of the fragility of life and the need for peace, hope, and God’s ever-present hand in difficult times.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the darkness that sometimes overshadows the world. But even in the most challenging circumstances, we have a God who never lets go. In moments of chaos and confusion, He remains our anchor. Psalm 46:1-2 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea” (NIVUK).

Let’s be honest—we’ve all had our own “mountain falling into the sea” moments, right? Maybe not as dramatic as an earthquake, but those days when everything seems to go wrong. You know, when you spill coffee on yourself just before an important meeting or miss the last bus on a rainy day. The kind of moments where you think, “Could this day get any worse?” But here’s the thing: God’s strength is right there with us, not just in the big, earth-shattering situations, but even in the mundane disasters.

And as we think about the world’s history today, we’re reminded that while the world shakes, God’s promises remain unshaken. Just as He has been faithful in the past, He will continue to be faithful now. Deuteronomy 31:6 encourages us: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

A Moment to Reflect:
What’s your “mountain” today? It might not be the world’s biggest crisis, but it’s big to you. Are you trusting that God is with you in it? His presence is more powerful than any storm we face.

An Encouraging Action:
Take a moment today to breathe and hand over your anxieties to God. He’s with you in the big moments and the small ones. Maybe even send someone an encouraging word, reminding them they’re not alone. Let’s choose to be agents of peace, reflecting God’s faithfulness in how we love and support those around us.

God’s promises remain, no matter how the world shakes. Let’s lean into His strength and spread His peace today.

Have a blessed Wednesday!
